Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE. Balance, including any additional expenses must be received by the time the puppy is 8 weeks of age, unless prior arrangements have been made, or the deposit will be forfeited and the puppy will be resold. All puppies sold with full rights  must be named and or registered with the prefix RUFF HAUS in their name, for ALL other puppies, you are agreeing NEVER to breed this puppy and never to sell this puppy to a breeder. You must notify me if you decide to place the puppy with anyone else.

Your puppy is guaranteed to be healthy at the time of purchase. If, within 10 days after receipt of the puppy by the purchaser, a licensed Veterinarian states in writing that the puppy has a health problem that existed in the puppy at the time of delivery, or if, within one year after receipt of the puppy by the purchaser a licensed Veterinarian states in writing that due to a hereditary or congenital defect, the puppy has died, or has a condition that will shorten it's life, the following conditions apply:
DEATH REMEDIES:
If the puppy dies or has an infectious or congenital condition as described in Chapter 745, these are the remedies available to the purchaser and it is the purchasers choice as to which remedy they choose.
Breeder/seller: Will replace puppy with one of equivalent value if available or provide a full refund of the purchase price of the puppy .
HEALTH PROBLEM REMEDIES:
If a puppy has been determined by a verterinarian to have a health problem at the time of receipt by the purchaser, the breeder/ seller agrees to provide the purchaser with one of the following remedies to be chosen by the purchaser.
A) Return the puppy to the breeder/seller for a full refund of the purchase price of the puppy. Travel/shipping expenses are the responsibility of the buyer/purchaser and will not be refunded.
B) Exchange the puppy for one of the purchasers choice of equivalent value, providing a replacement puppy is available. Travel/shipping expenses are the responsibility of the purchaser and will not be refunded.
C) Retainment of the puppy by the purchaser/buyer and the reimbursement of 1/2 of the reasonable veterinary fees, not to exceed 1/2 the price of the puppy that was purchased from the breeder/seller.
Your puppy will be dewormed appropriately for his/her age and will be vaccinated, unless otherwise agreed prior to the puppy leaving breeder/sellers care. It is not uncommon for Dachshunds to be highly allergic to LEPTO vaccinations and we do not give vaccinations with LEPTO and urge you to discuss this with your veterinarian BEFORE giving any vaccination containing LEPTO. We are NOT responsible for any adverse reactions due to vaccinating your puppy or your puppy being given LEPTO alone or as part of any vaccination. Please discuss vaccinations with your vet and follow their advice. Breeder/seller will not be responsible should your puppy contract any infectious or contagious disease once he/she leaves breeder/sellers care.
If at any time you are unable to care for your puppy purchased from Ruff Haus Dachshunds you are to contact breeder/seller before placing this puppy/dog anywhere else and if need be, I will assist you in placing your pet in a new home. All paperwork should accompany your puppy/dog. NO refunds will be given until the puppy is resold. You are agreeing NEVER to place this animal in a shelter or pet store or with a broker or breeder. You are agreeing never to use male puppies for stud service.Males and  Females are never to be bred.
Purchaser/buyer understands that the color, size, coat etc. is only an estimated idea based on the size of parents, previous litters,etc. and that there is NO guarantee as to size, color, coat, temperment, conformation of this puppy. Dachshunds are more prone to back issues if allowed to become overweight, please do not over feed your dog, if you need assistance in determining how to keep weight off them, please contact me or your veterianrian.
ALL puppies sold as pet only are on a spay/neuter contract. NO AKC papers will be given if the puppy is sold as a "pet", you are agreeing to have your puppy spayed or neutered. Spaying/neutering should be discussed with your Vet. Purchaser/buyer agrees to have this puppy spayed/neutered by 18 months of age, unless your Vet recommends otherwise., and NEVER to breed this puppy.

This contract is non-transferable and void if the puppy changes ownership from Purchaser/buyer stated in this contract. Failure of Purchaser/buyer to comply with any condition of this agreement will relieve breeder/seller of any obligation to the Purchaser/buyer.
Jurisdiction for all matters arising out of this contract shall be determined pursuant to the laws of the state of Maine, county of residence of Breeder/Seller and brought in the state of Maine. The purchaser/buyer shall be responsible for all costs and attorneys fees connected to any litigation arising out of this transaction.
